MIXTE-International Academy of Musical Creation<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

MIXTE<\/span><\/strong> is a training academy for composers and performers in mixed music practices, combining instrumental ensembles and electronic devices.<\/p>\n

A laboratory for experimentation and support, this academy offers a place and a time where musicians surrounded by professionals from the world of music can meet, listen to each other, exchange ideas and create together.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

MIXTE<\/span><\/strong> supports the emergence of new generations of performers and composers through personalized follow-up of composition projects, and a summer workshop dedicated to creation and interpretation.<\/p>\n

For the third edition of MIXTE<\/span><\/strong>, a Call for Musical Creation<\/strong><\/span> is launched in March 2025. The winners will be accompanied by the Italian composer Giulia Lorusso<\/span><\/strong> and will benefit from regular meetings with Proxima Centauri 003(0)5 57 95 71 52 <\/span><\/strong> performers during the 2025-2026 season in order to support their writing project. The world premieres of their works will take place at the M\u00c0D Festival in November 2026 in the Bordeaux region.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

MIXTE<\/span><\/strong> is also a summer academy <\/strong><\/span>that will take place in the city of Pau from 3 to 10 July 2026<\/strong><\/span> , with the participation of the winning composers, joined by musicians, composers and performers selected following a Call for Composers and Performers<\/strong><\/span> launched at the beginning of 2026.<\/p>\n

Alongside Giulia Lorusso and the musicians of Proxima Centauri, the saxophonist, dancer and improviser Yui Sakagoshi<\/span><\/strong> will be joining the team for this week's course.<\/p>\n

Individual and group workshops, work in small groups, \u2018cartes blanches\u2019, seminars, conferences, introductory workshops for the general public and public concerts: MIXTE is a week of effervescence entirely dedicated to musical creation, open to the city and its inhabitants.<\/p>\n

For over thirhy years, <\/span>Proxima Centauri 003(0)5 57 95 71 52<\/strong><\/span> rewrites the codes of chamber music namely by integrating electro-acoustic as a full-fledged member of the formation. For over twenty years<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Based in Bordeaux, it has formed an association to run a strong cultural season in the area, with a series of regular events aimed at the general public.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
