Pascal Rousseau began his professional career at an early age, performing classical music, jazz, French chanson, dance, theater and street arts.

In a career spanning more than 25 years, he has performed on some of Europe's greatest venues (Cité de la Musique, Opéra Garnier, Louvre, Opéra de Lyon, Flagey, Buimhuis, etc.), as well as in Moscow (ZooJazzProject), Montreal (TORO d'Oposito), Tokyo, Cotonou, etc. He has recorded more than 30 albums in a wide variety of styles with numerous artists.

He has performed alongside the greatest ensembles and soloists (Ictus, World Saxophone Quartet, Musiques Nouvelles, Marc Ducret, Orchestre Nouvelle Aquitaine, David Murray, Airelle Besson, Claude Tchamitchian, Jacques Higelin, Olivia Ruiz...) and at the biggest festivals: Donaueschingen, Rendez-vous de l'Erdre, EuropaJazz, Bangkok Street Festival, Just for Laughs Montreal Street Festival, Musica Strasbourg...

A double graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris in tuba (class of Gérard Bucquet and Bernard Neuranter) and generative improvisation (class of Alain Savouret and Rainer Boesh), he is also a composer and conductor.

In addition to his artistic activities, he teaches tuba and improvisation at the High School of Music of Bordeaux (PESMD) and the Conservatoire of Bordeaux, and is a "street music advisor" on the national technical committee of the Confédération National des Batteries Fanfare.

Committed to his local roots, he also teaches jazz and songwriting at the Ile de Ré music school, and leads the amateur big-band Harmony's Swing. He also runs workshops and master-classes.
