Percussions

Julien Pellegrini is fascinated by the many facets of percussion, and has explored many of them: contemporary creation, improvisation, chamber music, early music and symphony orchestra.

He works with Proxima Centauri and plays regularly with the Orchestre National de Bordeaux Aquitaine, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, the Ensemble Sillage, and the orchestras of Lyon, Rennes, Limoges...

His work since 2016 with the Ensemble Alkymia has led him to mix early music, improvisations, creations and sound experiments, and to use his electroacoustic skills (programming and sound processing).

Il y déploie aussi ses compétences électroacoustique (programmation et traitement sonore).

He recently took part in the recording of Robert Pascal's Aubes and in the creation of his latest piece, Herbes Rases.

Julien Pellegrini is a graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon in percussion and chamber music. He also has a keen interest in teaching, and after obtaining his CA in 2017, he taught at the Conservatoire of Rennes until 2022.

He currently teaches percussion at the Conservatoire of Bordeaux.
